ALEX HARDWICK
DEPUTY TO PRINCIPAL
Alex Hardwick started dancing at the age of 7 studying ballet, tap, jazz and acrobatics at her local dance school achieving her advanced 2 in BTDA in Modern, Tap, Jazz and up to grade 7 in RAD. At the age 16 she left school and went to study a 1 year BTEC course in singing, dancing and acting at Brockenhurst College.
Whilst at Brockenhurst College she began her journey to further her training and career by auditioning at stage schools in and around London.After many journeys up and down the country gaining entry into 5 different stage schools she faced the decision on picking the perfect school for her. And at 17 she moved to Kent to train at Reynolds Performing Arts College for 3 years, where she also gained her basic gym instructing qualification. Graduating in 2008 with her first professional job as a production dancer on board the luxury Costa Cruise Lines she embarked on a journey around the world visiting countries and islands she didn't even know existed. Inbetween contracts with Costa she has performed in a touring show in 7 star hotels around Cyprus with the Presumed Innocents Dance Company. One of her favourite jobs in-between ship contracts was to perform with Russian Dance company Onde Cruiz in a cabaret show for casino Solverde in Portugal. Finally after her 6th contract with Costa Cruises ending in November 2014 she returned home to England.
Alex started teaching for MainStage in April 2014 and has been completely inspired by the talent and skills of the students. The improvements of the students continues to grow and grow week after week making her proud to be apart of this fantastic school, where the principal Charlotte Moon continues to bring in so many great opportunities of shows, festivals and competitions.....There is always something to be excited about!
