WEIRD, WACKY AND WONDERFUL!

Another VERY successful year behind us....

Mainstage Performing Arts have been extremely busy over the last year!

Back in July 2016, our Mainstage Events Class were fortunate enough to perform at The Theatre Royal, Drury Lane in London's Westend! This is the second time we have performed at this beautiful venue and we are extremely honoured to have performed on the same stage as the current production of 42nd Street!

We started the academic year with our first ever fundraising social event for LEAF charity and Mainstage as voted for by the Mainstage families. This was a huge success and raise an incredible £1815.00!!

This was followed by a trip to Comber Sands for the Young Stars Festival. This year we took triple the amount of students compared to last year and they did not disappoint! Overall we achieved 4 x 1st place, 5 x 2nd place, 6 x 3rd place, 1 x 4th place as well as 2 x 1st place for both our group dance entries! What an amazing weekend we all had!

Next up our Mainstage Events Class performed at The Indigo Theatre situated in London's O2 Arena. Followed by some more local appearances such as 'The Littledown Christmas Market' and 'The Kingston Lacey Christmas Event' for LEAF.

Mainstage also auditioned for the chance to perform at 'Disney Land Paris' and we are delighted to announce that we have been successful!

23 of our students will be travelling to Paris in October and performing on stage at Disney Land! WOW!

Numerous students successfully auditioned for professional pantomimes over the Christmas period and it was an absolute pleasure to watch them all flying the Mainstage flag and performing so wonderfully! Well done!

We have also staged our Summer and Christmas in house productions bringing the full Mainstage company together as well as entering various students for their ISTD examinations in Ballet, Tap and Modern! Finally we have welcomed numerous guest teachers to Mainstage for WESTEND and COMMERCIAL workshops offering an invaluable experience for everyone involved, working with some of the industries top performers, choreographers and teachers.

As well as the above, all of the Mainstage teachers and students have been working extremely hard to create tonight's production in only 8 months, and I am extremely proud of everyone's hard work and dedication!

It is also important to thank all of our Mainstage parents for their time, patience and commitment, it doesn't go unnoticed!

Weird, Wacky and Wonderful is set in a dolls house. Sit back and watch as the house comes to life. We will take you on a magical mystery tour in our very own weird wacky way leaving you asking questions, wanting more, and having a wonderful evening! I don't want to gove too much away, so sit back, relax and enjoy this years spectacular of WEIRD, WACKY AND WONDRFUL!!
